To evangelize means to proclaim the "Good News." This good news is the abundant life that Jesus offers us; a life with peace that passes understanding, real freedom and power to become who we were created to be, a fullness of joy, a mission that extends into eternity, and the love to satisfy the deepest longings of our souls. This life can be ours when we live deeply in the profound truth of the gospel, discovering God's love and presence in all the truth, beauty, goodness and people around us.
So, "Evangelize Me!" is a request and a prayer; tell me this good news of God's passionate personal love for me, tell me the good news of the superabundance of grace that is available to me in the sacraments, tell me how to battle my doubts and fears and shame so that I can have more hope, peace, joy and love. Evangelize Me!
Our desire is to proclaim the fullness of the truth, beauty and goodness of the Catholic faith in a way that is practical and relevant. We believe that when that faith is understood and lived in all of its richness, it leads to the abundant life that Jesus promised. The message of the Gospel sets us free from sin and its effects, but to find that freedom we must engage wholeheartedly in the process of becoming a disciple of Christ. This is a spiritual battle.
"The whole of man's history has been the story of dour combat with the powers of evil, stretching, so our Lord tells us, from the very dawn of history until the last day. Finding himself in the midst of the battlefield man has to struggle to do what is right, and it is at great cost to himself, and aided by God's grace, that he succeeds in achieving his own inner integrity."
